“ I’ve been in love with hospitality ever since my childhood, when I would visit my grandfather’s guest house in a small beach town in Brazil. He had an immense talent for making all feel welcome and creating a home away from home for all who stayed there. Through my trips throughout the U.S. and to 30 other countries I’ve also come to realize that the real magic in travel arises from the memorable bonds created with those you travel with and those you meet along the way. My passion to create distinct experiences and lasting memories for guests drives my desire to make Avenir a trusted and envied brand in hospitality. ”

“ The real estate and travel & hospitality industries have always been near and dear to me. My parents and grandparents have worked in real estate all their lives and I took my first plunge when I founded Waves Off Campus, a real estate leasing business to help students find off campus housing in Malibu, CA. I nurtured a love of travel when I studied abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland, and explored my passion for hospitality during my years as a management consultant when I achieved Superhost status on Airbnb by hosting guests at my apartment while I was away. Living simultaneously as a guest and host gave me an immense appreciation for the nuances of guest service, which is a perspective I bring to everything we do at Avenir Hospitality. ”

About Us

Avenir Hospitality was founded by MBA classmates Daniel Lima, Kevin Fleming and Rhys Watkins to bring institutional resources to independent players in hospitality and to capitalize on new trends emerging in the industry. We further validated the investment thesis amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which not only accelerated transitions happening in consumer preference, but also highlighted the struggles of existing models and created a unique window of investment opportunity.Our team brings over 15 years of combined real estate and investment experience totaling more than 40 hotel transactions and nearly $4Bn of transaction value. Leveraging an extensive network and a trusted group of advisors we are seeking to strategically invest in unique lodging experiences that will be at the forefront of the next generation of hospitality.
